Sentiments Of A Not-So-Catty-Mommyblogger

I'm back! I took a brief hiatus from blogging. That meant more time with my beautiful family and one can never have enough of that!

Anyway, in the period I was gone I realized something. I missed you guys!! Yes, I weally weally did :)

Along with creating an online scrapbook  for my children, blogging has become a medium to connect with friends.
Friends who are mothers, wives, students, teachers. Just great women companions who are so creative and talented. No matter how busy their day maybe they find time for their blog. I love the advices, the tips,  the stories, the complaints, the reviews and the praises they have to share.
That is why I was shocked to read this article.

I have recently started blogging. First, it was just about keeping up a record of what my twins do all day. I just thought I needed to write down all their activities and milestones lest I forget this blissful stage in their life.  I wasn't sure if I would still remember these sentiments 10 years from now, when my kids would come to me and ask me what their childhood was like.

I wanted them to be able to grow up and get to read their world according to my eyes, a mother's loving eyes.

After sometime I realized writing a good blog required some amount of artful vision and originality. Now, my blog has also become a vent for my creativity.

Sometime ago I had considered going private with my blog. If it is just for me and my kids why share feeding time tales with the entire world? But then I decided against it, because I would miss out on some wonderful friends that I have made through blogging.

Take a look at my blogroll, you will see amazing, amazing women who  may be working moms, SAHMs or WFHMs. I know I get nothing less than days worth of inspiration reading these blogs. I used to blog before I became a mother, mostly on social and political topics, But now, I will certainly keep blogging as a mommyblogger because that is what I am. I am not ashamed to say that my kids are the most important aspect of my life and they define my blog. And no, I will not be insulted if you call me that.

  4. I, too, love being a part of the blog community. I wish I had known about all the great moms online before our kiddos were born. Like you, my girls were a year old before I began to delve into the wide world of blogging. I diligently kept a journal of the girls' comings and goings, but I love being able to write in a more public forum. I try to challenge myself creatively from time to time, and I get so much inspiration (in so many different ways) from other moms.

I couldn't get the link you posted to work, though...and, given the title of your blog post, I'm very interested to read it! Thanks!

I started blogging only after my twin boys turned a year old. Here I am recapturing the special moments and attempting to create new ones that make my life even more amazing. Why I didn't start before this? Well, I was busy traveling and discovering the fun life with twins and also catching up on my sleep when I got the time.
