Touch-Up Tuesday

I got a chance to go to a botanical garden last week. It was a lot of fun with the kids in tow. The three of us had a great time. I got this shot while I was there.

This is edit # 1
It's pretty simple. I opened it in Picasa (that is where all the photos that come out of the camera are usually stored)
- Tuned the lights, highlights and shadows
- Adjusted the color temperature to the warmer side
- Applied soft focus

This next one is an experiment and I think it came out pretty OK. I got inspired by some drastic editing *my own term but, you know what I mean:)* that I saw and was urged to try it out. Tell me what you think of it!
Now let's see if I can remember what I did. I used Photoscape for this
-  I reduced the hue to -25
-  Reduced the saturation to -43
- Increased the brightness and contrast
- I applied the photoscape diagonal-line texture
- Lastly, I chose the Note02 frame.

  1. Hiya! What a fun edit that last one is! I like drastic editing; it spices things up, don't you think? :-) FUN! I love your first edit too. You really brightened it up and I love the added warmth. Hope you're having a great Tuesday! :-)

  2. I *love* your first edit! The colors in it are awesome.

I like your playful edit also! It kind of looks like it's raining.

  3. Very pretty! I love number 2 and the 3rd one is really cool! Great pictures as always!

  4. The last edit is fun! I do love that second photo.

  5. Love the photo and love your edits. I once downloaded Photoscape but never really played with it.

  6. I love the last edit! So pretty and I love the texture. It's almost like rain coming down at a slant.

  7. i use photoscape quite a bit and love it. i love using the hues and actions. that said i think the last edit is perfect, it looks like it belongs on the front of a notebook.

My photo
I started blogging only after my twin boys turned a year old. Here I am recapturing the special moments and attempting to create new ones that make my life even more amazing. Why I didn't start before this? Well, I was busy traveling and discovering the fun life with twins and also catching up on my sleep when I got the time.
